BIOGRAPHIE
Thierry Grare est né le 21 janvier 1965 à Pacy sur Eure, France.
Après un parcours scolaire rapide et chaotique, il quitte
l’école à treize ans et vivote en attendant un premier stage
professionnel qu’il fera à 15 ans.
C’est à cette époque qu’il reçoit en cadeau un appareil
photographique et réalise ses premier clichés.
La passion qui l’envahit alors ne le quitte plus.
En 1988 à Paris, Christophe Dechavanne remarque son
travail sur les « cimetières de nuit » et l’invite sur les
plateaux de son émission « Ciel mon mardi ».
En 1989, il entre en formation de technicien de laboratoire
et d’images photographiques au CREAR de Gouvieux,
où il étudie durant neuf mois les techniques de prise de vue,
développement noir et blanc et couleur avec des
professionnels.
A la sortie de cette école, sa curiosité se révèle sans limite
face à un désir d’apprendre et de comprendre le processus
photographique.
Thierry Grare se procure alors de vieux livres sur les
techniques de développement photographique, et avec
patience, mets en application les savoir-faire étudiés.
C’est ainsi qu’il apprend à utiliser tous les procédés chimiques,
révélateur, fixateur, renforçateur, affaiblisseur, virage, auto
vireur : en même tant que l’image blanchit, on peut modifier
la couleur.
Il se fabrique lui-même ses produits, aujourd’hui vendus prêts
à l’emploi, pour réaliser des tirages à l’albumine, gélatine,
amidon, qu’il obtient à partir de fécule de patate, de riz, de
blanc d’œuf, de gélatine animale.
Ses compétences pointues et la qualité de ses tirages, le feront
repérer en 1994 par une société qui veut éditer en carte postale,
les clichés de Edouard Curtis, célèbre pour ses photos de
chef indiens.
Thierry Grare s’applique à extraire des reproductions des plaques de verre centenaires, les portraits de Geronimo,
Sitting Bull et autres grands guerriers légendaires.
Par la suite, il réalise chaque année une exposition de ses photos personnelles.
En 2002, son travail artistique est présenté dans la revue Photographie International lors d’une exposition à Montpellier (France).
Piscénois d’adoption, il sera invité au Salon ArtéNim 2005 (France).
Aprés des études de Concepteur Médiatique à l'Université Paul Valery de Montpellier en 2006 entreprend un voyage à Montréal "Canada"
et participe au Festival CENSORED 2007.
Depuis 2008, je pratique la peinture acrylique sur toile.

Ma Bio Cv
A 15 ans, je rentre en 1ère année de CAP d'électronicien, celà ne se passe pas comme je le souhaite,
problèmes familliaux.
1982 préparation du concours d'entrée, d'un D.E. Diplôme d'Aide Soignant
Je pars en stage pratique (A.S.H. brancardier) LA MUSSE, St Sébastien de Morsent.
Je navigue dans les trois pavillons, le dernier celui des soins palliatifs,
je tombe en arrêt maladie jusqu'en fin de stage, cela devient trop dur.
Je suis appelé dans l'armée et déserte, de 18 à 21 ans, je me consacre a la photographie.
Durant mes trois années de cavale, je m'investis dans l'image.
A ma sortie de l'armée, je fais deux expositions, une en collectif et l'autre personnelle,
dans un espace de trois mètres carrés, à la Caisse d'Allocations Familliales (Evreux).
Je travaille en intérim, j'occupe plusieurs postes de travail en Normandie, usinage et manutention, entretien et réparation électrique à la SEP de Vernon.
Manutention et déchargement de camions, dans le grain.
1989, je fais un passage TV, celà me permet de faire une demande auprès de L'Agence Nationale Pour l'Emploi afin de trouver une formation de photographe,
Après avoir été reçu a mon examen d'entrée,
je passe 9 mois au C.R.E.A.R" Gouvieux, j'y apprends les techniques de développement et de prise de vues avec des gens tels que, Michel Semeniako, Dominique Cartellier ou Thibaut Cuisset, sous la surpervision de Phillipe Guilvard.
Reçu a mon examen, je veux aller travailler au Havre en tant que docker ou Rungis à Paris,
On me fait une proposition de contrat à Montpellier, dans un laboratoire de tirage et de développement photographique professionnel (L.T.D.P) Montpellier.
Je reste neuf mois, et je décide de créer mon entreprise de tirage noir et blanc professionnel.
Durant 3 ans, je travaille principalement avec des photographes professionnels, tirages et mises en place d'expos, coordination avec les imprimeurs et les maisons d'éditions.
1992, on me fait cadeau d'un livre sur les techniques en photographie de 1922, édité dans le village où je suis né. J' apprends et étudie les préparations de diverse formules qui ne sont plus pratiquées de nos jours, et durant plusieurs années je me consacre a mes recherches, cela me vaut de travailler sur des photos d'Edouard Curtis, Daniel Faure ou sur des clichés de Catherine Trautmann ou de Joseph Zobel et de diner avec Monsieur le Conservateur du Musée d'Orsay et Gerard Lévy, Expert auprès de la douane française en photographie.
En même temps je m'occupe du club photo de mon village (St André de Sangonis) ou j'intervient en donnant des cours, je passe plusieurs heures par semaine a les initier.
1994 je décide de fermer l'entreprise, le marché du numérique prend le dessus.
1995, je rencontre un Plombier/électricien, (qui à travaillé dans les centrales nucléaires),
il me fait une proposition dans le batiment et me prend en formation,
je travaille pendant trois années à ses côtés ainsi que dans la rénovation.
1999 je créer l'association COMPUR dans le but de sauvegarder le patrimoine, différentes interventions, on fait l'objet d'expositions ou publications.
2000, je prépare un projet photographique, appareil jetable (panoramique) et tirage mécanique a base de charbon de bois et Ruffe, terre rouge, (oxyde de fer).
Je fais trois interviews Radio sur mes pratiques de tirage mécanique.
Je vis de mes photographies et je fais deux à trois expositions par an et je rentre en formation, (Images Numériques) à Montpellier.
2004, je décide de raconter ma vie à travers mes images, diffuser mon travail sous toutes les formes, vendre, et de détruire la totalité.
2005, je refais une remise a niveau.
2006/2007, je rentre à la l'université Paul Valéry de Montpellier au SUFCO dans le cadre d'une formation de Concepteur Médiatique.

Biography
Thierry Grare was born on January 21, 1965 in Pacy on the Eure,
